“Secret to your success is hidden in your daily routine”- Business-minded women
This lockdown period has truly been very stressful in many ways. But it also provided all of us with ample time to think about our present situation focus on our physical and mental health and plan our course of action for the anticipated future. I tried productively using my time as much as possible by reading and listening to motivating podcasts and reading about successful people in different fields. Each of them had a different journey, target, and reasons for motivation.
But there is one common thing- their daily routine has a specific time dedicated to growth and learning. Be it Warren Buffet or Bill Gates, they all have cautiously planned out their daily routine such that they get enough time to read and learn. This learning can come from a daily newspaper, reports, or great books. They also pay special attention to their mental health. For example, Bill Gates has dedicated some time to his daily routine for playing tennis. The importance of daily routine is also highlighted by William McRaven, US Navy Admiral in his speech when he says, ‘If you want to change the world, start off by making your bed’ because when you complete a small task, it will encourage you to work for the next task and the process continues.
If your daily routine is to get up – have breakfast- head for your work- return to spend time with your family and sleep, there is no time dedicated to your growth. Even when you work hard at your job, your growth will merely be professional within the range of your company’s development over the next 30-40 years. But when you learn new things every day and focus on your growth daily, you will automatically see an overall developed personality in the long run.
Such a personality attracts opportunities. It is not luck but the small efforts put by a person on a daily basis.
Choose your daily course of action wisely.
