The most important step for success

“Failing to plan is planning to fail”- Alan Lakein

“Make time for planning: wars are won in general’s tent”- Stephen R Covey

Good fortune is what happens when opportunity meets with planning”- Thomas Edison

Alan Lakein is a well-known author on personal time management, Stephen R. Covey was an American educator, author, businessman, and a keynote speaker, and Thomas Edison was one of the great inventors who had changed the way we live. The quotes given by them greatly emphasize the importance of planning.

Though we all know how important it is to plan our life and also that this may differ for everybody even with the same goal. But still, I have seen many people getting ourselves by how big their target is. One of my friends wanted to be an actor. She has wanted this for very long but unfortunately, the difficulties in the journey kept on demotivating her. For four years, she stood at the same point and made no progress. Suddenly she started reading about people who rose above similar circumstances to achieve the same target. That is when she realized that all this while she realized that all this while she was looking for a direct route that would take her to her destination, whereas all she needed to do was to breakdown her path into small milestones. Now the same journey feels sorted as now she is only focussing on the next milestone.

Sometimes just understanding your path and planning it better solves all the problems and reduces your anxiety.
