It all starts in your mind

It all begins and ends in your mind. What you give power to has power over you if you allow it”- Pinterest

After a week-long, I finally got what I needed, this quote. Sometimes, even when you know these things, it becomes so difficult to practice it. The external negativity overpowers you and you tend to lose focus of your vision. That’s what happened to me this week and I made the same mistake of letting those things overpower my mind. It felt like all the lessons that I learned during the lockdown were being put to test. When that darkness was overpowering me, this quote came to my rescue.

Our mind is the most powerful weapon we have, but unfortunately, we don’t realize it. In situations where we are put to test, the first thing that happens is the loss of control over one’s mind. There on our fear and insecurities use that weapon to attract more negativity. This is sufficient to take you down the track of depression and demotivation. You start making mistakes that could have been easily avoided, had you been more mindful. Thereon you are further taken down by regret and more negativity. It took me a lot of effort to bring my mind back on the right track. Luckily not much damage has been done.

This is dedicated to all those reading this post, who are struggling with negativities and demotivation. If you feel you are stuck up in a similar cycle, remember, all you need to do is make a firm decision- NO MORE NEGATIVITY. If possible distance yourself and observe your thoughts. All you need to do is replace those negative thoughts with positive thoughts. You will start seeing a change.

I sincerely wish you gain that control soon.

  1. Sruti, well-written, and helpful reminder! ❤

Yesterday was one of those days. Problems seemed to converge, I had not slept well and was feeling overwhelmed. Knowing I would feel better after a good night's rest helped, and I do feel better today, ready to tackle the tasks that lie before me. All the best! Cheryl
