The Book of Life

Here’s an interesting story from Dr. Joseph Murphy’s ‘ The Power of your Subconscious mind’.

A woman aged 75 was in a habit of saying to herself, ‘I am losing my memory. She reversed the procedure and practiced induced autosuggestion several times a day as follows. “My memory from today on is improving in every department. I shall always remember whatever I need to know in every moment of time and point of space. The impressions received will be clearer and more defined. I shall retain them automatically with ease. Whatever I wish to recall will immediately present itself in the correct form in my mind. I am improving rapidly every day and very soon my memory will be better than it has ever been before.” At the end of three weeks, her memory was back to normal.

Have you ever wondered why the people who are in trouble attract more of it?

This is because we are the author of our life. Every second of our life, we are writing our future in the book of life, i.e., our subconscious mind. Take a moment and evaluate what kind of thoughts you had in mind during the last year and how everything turned out to be. You will find a correlation. Every time we desire something badly, most of us have this tendency to imagine how would our life be if we don’t get it. That generates fear and anxiety in us. These emotions connect to our subconscious mind which then attracts the necessary circumstances to make that happen. This also means that our deep beliefs, feelings, and our daily thoughts are the key to our future.

In the above story, the woman cured her memory loss at age of 75 by using affirmations. Our subconscious mind has all the information required for our growth and well-being. It need not learn anything new from anybody. You just have to persuade your mind that you will live a happy, healthy, and successful life and will take care of everything else.

The kind of story you write today, the same story you live tomorrow.
